Who are you?
I am Leonie, a yogini from Berlin :) Yoga and its philosophy has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Yoga helps me understand who I am and how I move in and with the world.
Why should yoga be shared with the world?
Yoga allows you to explore your own body and your relationship to it. Something as simple as a yoga class can turn the constant stream of thoughts quiet. You might not notice it during class, but afterwards there is always a sense of peace, of you being present. I believe that this is an incredibly important lever to counteract the fast-paced world we live in and a lot more people should make use of it.
What do you teach?
I design my classes with the idea of the yoga practice being a form of meditation. I teach soft and gentle flows as well as restorative and nidra sequences. Both forms of practice are united by the idea of challenging not only your physical body but also your mental self. Moving with consciousness, allowing your body to experience sensations and tuning into what your body is telling you. I love to include intuitive movements into my flows in order to give space to listen to your inner self and follow what it needs. My classes move your awareness into your body allowing you to connect with yourself, leaving you feeling present, balanced and in harmony with your body, mind and soul.
My favourite asana
Always changing. At the moment I really enjoy Cat/ Cow as a starting point for intuitive movement, waking up my spine and exploring in which ways it likes to be moved today.
