Who are you?
I’m Tessa, a yoga teacher and medical student based in Berlin. I love to bring together my two passions - yoga and medicine - so my teaching is shaped by a blend of scientific, anatomical understanding and a deep appreciation for mindful, intuitive movement. Yoga has been a grounding force throughout my own journey, and I’m excited to share that with others.
Why should yoga be shared with the world?
Yoga reminds us of something we often forget: we already carry strength, softness, and balance within us. In a world that constantly draws our attention outward, it invites us back into our bodies - to breathe, feel, and reconnect. Even when everything else feels uncertain, we still have our breath to guide us through movement and mind.
What do you teach?
I love dynamic, creative and fluid flows, guided where the movement is guided by our breath and every transition has intention. My classes are an invitation to explore your body’s strength and softness at the same time and to move with curiosity rather than perfection. I try to integrate scientific understanding of how our bodies function, while still celebrating the intuitive, expressive side of practice. You’ll find playful challenges woven into the flow, especially when it comes to arm balances and handbalancing poses. But above all, I aim to create a space where you feel grounded, supported, and encouraged to move in a way that is sustainable for your body - finding both effort and ease as you flow.
My favourite asana
Savasana :) because a teacher once told me that the whole asana practice is really just preparation for this moment of stillness - and I think that is a beautiful thought.
